An aircraft-repair company in Kendallville is seeing its business take off- Making a significant impact on the global aviation industry.

It's this week's Locally Made Monday.

Airframe Components fixes wings for turbo-prop and corporate jets.

They do it all from their headquarters about forty minutes north of Fort Wayne.

And their parts take flight in nearly every continent on the planet.
"Indiana is a great location for aviation, being a nation-wide market," says owner Roy Williams.

Roy and Shelly Williams run airframe components- a world-class aircraft-repair center out of Kendallville.

"We ship to all corners of the earth. I mean, we have every continent that we ship to, except Antarctica, at this point," says Shelly Williams.

The company focuses on turbo prop and corporate jets, and the repair of wings and control surfaces.

"It's a very specific niche that we're focusing on. And then when you get down to repair of aircraft, it gets even more specific when you get down to general aviation aircraft, it becomes very focused on your demographic," says Roy Williams.

That focus has allowed the company to grow- even during the recession a few years ago.

"And to think that here we are in northeast Indiana, in the country and we're sending parts to all points on the glove, it's just fun to watch the growth and the possibilities every day," says Roy Williams.

Airframe Components has eighteen employees, and brings new dollars into the region from all over the world.

"To be able to bring outside dollars into northeast Indiana. Not just local dollars circulating in the same circle," says Roy Williams.
