Bowling, friends, food, prizes? It is a fun event that anyone can be involved in. and here is how it works.

Get together a team of 5 people.
Pick a date and a time to bowl.
Then raise pledges! It's that simple.

Rick Hoffman, Chairman of the Ambassador Committee for Big Brothers Big Sisters, integrates the event into his workplace.

"At Water Furnace we've done Bowl For Kids Sake for years." (6 years to be exact.) "For Water Furnace, it's a tradition."

He says the community aspect of the event helps reinforce work relationships while at the same time, having fun.

"Folks we don't rub elbows with everyday at work necessarily, we're bowling with."

This is also a chance for people who can't volunteer or mentor to help out.  Bowl For Kids Sake is an event anyone can get involved in and it's important to sustaining the services that Big Brothers Big Sisters provides.

"It is their number one fundraiser during the course of the year.  It's their signature event for raising funds, and it's a really good time," said Hoffmann.

There are multiple dates and times to choose from across the Big Brothers Big Sisters 13 county coverage area.

For more information, visit the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana website and click on Bowl For Kids Sake, or call 456-1600.  WFFT will be there too!
